The entryway is one of the most problematic designs that we’ve blissfully ignored in the house for the last 3 years.. It’s unimpressive, cramped and smells from the 90 year old basement that is leads down to in split level fashion. The exterior door is ugly, the exterior look is meh and all together, it’s all outdated.

It’s going to take a grab bag of design fixes to get it right, starting with the exterior door. After several months of looking, we decided to go with a pair of 8′ french doors.

This was a 3 man job, and for now, the story ends there. The door has found a temporary home in our garage.
