Finishing up the cable railing

Big milestone this week as I managed to finish up the cabling for the stairs. It was a bit nerveracking figuring out the precise placement for these as they couldn’t be centered on the posts as it would have been to far from the side end of the stairs.

The top portions of the cables use tensioners, which tighten the cables. I broke of a drill bit predrilling one of the holes when I hit a drywall screw. It took an hour to remove the bit, which was done in nearly a surgical manner.

Close up of the tensioners. Note the crimping marks on the finished ones. I measure, cut then clamp down the cable inside those tubes.
